The next step is getting your users or community to generate posts themselves – a tactic that will accelerate reach and engagement as Facebook purrs when it sees content produced by individuals and the content going viral within user’s network. Build engagement with influencers within your audience, and you’ve got yourself a social media strategy with a life of its own.
Instead, try to be a community for your audience. Facebook is a great place to hold industry chats or discussions, whether it’s with a different audience or your own customers. While Twitter often gets all the limelight of being a social customer care mecca, don’t forget about Facebook too.
I also do affiliate marketing here on the Smart Passive Income blog, sharing many of the tools and services that I use to run my online businesses, and if you or anyone else purchases through my affiliate links I earn a commission. If you’ve purchased from my links before, thank you so much! I greatly appreciate your support!
To accomplish this, you can implement a pixel into your forms that fires when users enter certain details about themselves. If you’re using form data to qualify leads, you’re probably using some sort of metric to determine their worth as leads, such as monthly spend on, say, AdWords. You can use this data to create increasingly refined lists of leads, which you can then target later.
It is vital to have an attractive, appealing Facebook profile if you wish to stand out from the crowd and attract followers. Creating a page that lets people know that they can trust you will give impressions that you’re a credible and reliable figure.

Note that the focus here is scalable income, not necessarily passive income. In the case of coaching or consulting for example, your revenue stream isn’t passive, but you can still scale it by increasing your rate from $100 to several thousand dollars per project.
Shawn’s Affiliate Marketing Blog provides the latest industry news and advice on how to make money online. Like many other bloggers on this list, Shawn is honest in saying that you won’t get rich through affiliate marketing, but you can make a little extra cash on the side. He also only endorses the products and services that he uses himself, so you can rest assured that these are quality products/services.
It might sound like a stuck record, but there’s no alternative to quality content. That doesn’t mean getting hung up on perfecting something or reiterating ad infinitum. Nor does it mean spending your entire marketing and media budget on one glossy video post. It means planning your strategy and thinking about what, when, why and for whom are you posting. It means filtering the junk and being more selective about what goes on your page and what you ask your cohorts to share. Ask yourself the question: would you share your company’s post if you didn’t work there? It’s a great acid test for whether your content is likely to be shared.
It’s very good practice to realise that you will need to do things step by step and follow a system. My money traffic circle is just the thing you need to use when doing your deadbeat affiliate campaigns (so pay attention).
This isn’t to scare you off. I simply want you to know that this guide is going to focus solely on ways to make real, sustainable extra income online. Not just a few bucks. I want to share all the mistakes I’ve made that got me to where I am now so that you don’t have to go through them, and can build a successful online source of income for yourself.
The differences between the two lookalike audience specifics speak to one of the most important considerations when buying Facebook ads: success of your ads requires a balance between reaching enough people to get results & not wasting money targeting the wrong audience.
It’s quite different from pay per sale, here you don’t share any profit with anyone, it’s yours forever. However, you need to determine the license giving to any resale rights product, master resale license and private label rights are the best. How do you access resale rights products?
This is obviously a crucial factor to consider. You might come up with an idea for a niche you know a lot about, but are there affiliate programs for the niche? No affiliate program = no sales. Time to look for a different niche.
If you’ve got a way with words and expertise in a niche, there are plenty of sites that will pay for articles and content you write. Think of the sites you read regularly. What can you contribute to them that would be interesting? Research your niche and then look for ways to pitch articles. Many sites will simply have a submission or contact link in the footer. To get started, check out my full guide to becoming a freelance writer on the side and then submit your articles to places like Listverse, TopTenz, A List Apart, International Living, FundsforWriters, and Textbroker.
If your audience seems to respond well to a series of product images, you can combine those images into a single ad with the carousel ad. This is a newer ad type that allows you to show more than one image at once within a single ad. Ecommerce brands can use dynamic product ads that allow them to cross-sell complementary products, or even retarget customers who click through to their websites, but don’t make a purchase.
Firstly, pick a topic that you’re interested in that also has a lot of market potential. Think of something that you like, and consider whether there would be many products associated with it, or much of an audience. You can find a topic (or “niche,” as affiliates call it) with a little research. You’ll find lessons to help you with this process in the market research section of Affilorama’s free lessons.
Of course, not just any affiliate marketing partner will do. Companies are seeking quality-driven relationships. With that in mind, here are seven top affiliate marketing companies, in no particular order, to watch (and partner with!) in the coming year:
Their huge down lines pays their bills. Why not get yourself involved and benefit from their years of hard work and zeal? $100 is just so little to make when you finally scale this business opportunity up.
So, how do you go about putting together your course? One of my favorite online course success stories comes from Bryan Harris of Videofruit, who built and launched an online course in just 10 days that made him $220,750!
I stumbled upon an article from Career Hack that I’ll link in the resources section below, that showed a simple step on how to make $100 today. The catch was, it would take a few days to actually set up, but by the end of the week you should become an made your first sale. My favorite part was the end where they said, “Congratulations, you are now an Entrepreneur.”
Now, custom audience targeting is all well and good (and a great way to generate Facebook page “likes,” I might add), but it’s not particularly useful for increasing your readership: These are people who are already reading your content, so there’s little need to pay to put more content in front of them.
Link to your landing page directly. Capture user’s email address, and start building relationship with them. Then, recommend your offer, and when a sale is made, you earn about $26.14 or more depending on the product cost.
Creating a unique tracking ID for an Amazon link is easy. Simply log in to your Amazon affiliate dashboard, click “Account Settings” at the very top on the right, then click “Manage Tracking IDs”. From there you can make a new tracking ID so you can track which web page/campaign sold what. You can learn more about using Amazon’s Tracking IDs here.
It’s also worth noting that affiliate marketing doesn’t work on all blogs. Some blogs are on topics where it is hard to find products to promote – other blogs attract audiences who are not in a buying frame of mind and for other blogs it just doesn’t fit with the blogger’s style or approach.
While the personal finance need and the professional acting skill set may seem disparate at first glance, finding the overlap in that unlikely pairing is what allowed me to create value in a unique and scalable way.
Your header should be attractive, yet it can also be a great place to advertise whatever it is you’re trying to sell on your page. Whether it’s you wearing a t-shirt of the company that you’re endorsing, or the front cover of your new ebook, your header is the first thing people are likely to see and thus you should make use of it.
Once you have that problem or need nailed, the next step is to validate that idea and make sure you’ve actually got customers who will pay for it. This means building a minimum viable product, getting objective feedback from real customers, incorporating updates, testing the market for demand, and getting pricing feedback to ensure there’s enough of a margin between your costs and what consumers are willing to pay.
There’s some interesting results there but it was the last category (of bloggers not knowing what affiliate marketing is) that I wanted to write this post for with the hope of answering the question. It’s pretty basic and quite beginner focused but for the 14% of you who don’t know what affiliate marketing is – here’s a brief introduction.
Facebook ads reward you for testing more ads and targets. You can lower the cost by 50% or more with diligent testing. Google ad cost per click doesn’t change much with your testing. LinkedIn ad cost per click doesn’t change much either. Facebook ads reach more people, grab more attention, and cost a lot less if you diligently test ads.
Get a roommate. If you have a spare room in your home or apartment, getting a roommate is one way to raise money fast. Not only can they help pay the rent, but they can also help with other bills like utilities, cable, and Internet service.
International Living – International Living pays $75 for each accepted post. They are mostly looking for travel experiences from countries you have visited. For this site, it’s more about your experience than your writing ability.
